   Having updated some sites running on the free version of Arthemia theme to WordPress 3.0.1 I would say it is running on that latest WordPress smooth as it should be. So do not hesitate to upgrade WordPress, there is no problem to expect.
   Anyway, BACKUP your database frequently!!

   Would have to agree, but ultimately I think that if you're doing a full back up of database and files then you should be able to get back on your feet very quickly anyway.
